Family history

Actually, I am a very socialized critter, and I like doing these things with people, and sometimes with sizeable groups.

Pic of Hayley Roper and a fine troutFun, for me, is Ole Miss Rebel sports...and you can get me to a UGA game but there is no spectator sport that can compare to UK basketball in Rupp Arena. I enjoy running and competed in my first high altitude 10K at Steamboat Springs, CO, on Labor Day 2001, and actually placed in one in snowshoes in February, 2002-way cool. Took fifth in mountain pentathalon in March, 2003. I have done a modicum of Alpine Skiing (Nastar Bronze), climbing, backpacking and hiking through the Colorado Rockies, get fired up over recreational swimming and water sports involving personal watercraft. I am into serious cooking...and sho 'nuf so since I've become personally acquainted with the executive chef at Seven lakes Lodge...and love golf (decent handicap). You do not have to invite me twice for rec softball and basketball. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and enjoy the experience of learning various tribal customs and cultures within our country. Since coming to Colorado to work, I have taken up mountain trout fly-fishing (you must do that before you die), trap shooting, horseback riding and archery. I'm a voracious reader and I love a good movie. I see the Atlanta Braves and Columbus Cottonmouths with family and/or friends when I can. Apart from that, I do have a life.

Greatest challengeHey, I'm your normal, polite, sheltered southern belle with an attitude. Transplanting me to the Colorado Rockies wilderness as anything more than a vacation skiier brought about a huge adjustment, but I made it. Coming back to Georgia for school was a bit of an adjustment, as well.
